We are a community club for boys and girls and soccability players in Saffron Walden and the surrounding areas. We are an England Football Accredited club.
For boys, we have our Mini Soccer School for Reception and Year 1 lads and support league teams from U7s to U18s playing in the Cambs Mini Soccer League, Cambs Colts League, Royston Crow League and Eastern Junior Alliance League (EJA).
For girls we have the WildCats for Reception and Year 1 and Year 2 girls, and support league teams from U8 to U18 playing in the Cambs Women and Girls League.
We also have a Soccability provision for players with any disability or impairment.

Formed from a merger of Saffron Walden Community Youth FC and Saffron Walden PSG Girls in 2023, our Community Club has grown and grown.We are a registered Charity (number 801764) and run by volunteers. All subscriptions go towards providing quality football for our members and supporting the qualification of our coaches.

We support our volunteer coaches and assistant coaches by funding their attendance at FA training courses. We have one of the highest number of qualified coaches at any youth football club in Essex.
Our coaches and assistant coaches are all DBS checked and have a valid Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid certificate. We take these qualifications and checks seriously. This is why we have maintained our FA Charter Standard for the last 5 years and were awarded Essex FA Charter Standard Club of the year in 2018.
All teams have at least one FA Level 1 qualified coach and many have two or more. We’ve also have 18 Level 2 qualified coaches at the club and these numbers are increasing all the time. 5 coaches have reached Level 3.
Our senior club partner Saffron Walden Town FC, was formed in 1872 and are the oldest club in Essex still in existence and the 19th oldest in the world. Known as the “Bloods” because of the red in the club colours, Saffron Walden Town FC were founder members of the Essex County Football Association in 1882. We aspire to provide the next generation of SWTFC players!

SWCFC U18 Blacks team are looking for a few more players to join their squad for the 2026/27 season in the Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire Girls & Women`s League.
Players in years 11, 12 or 13 are welcome to contact us for more information.

**MUGA ON THE DANCE FLOOR POSTPONED**
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to postpone Saturday`s event.
Anyone who has purchased tickets will have the option to use them for the rescheduled event (date TBC, but hopefully early October), or receive a refund. You will receive an email from the ticket agent, WeGotTickets soon, so please look out for it.

❤️🖤 A day we’ll never forget for our Under 10 Girls Black team! 🖤❤️
Our Under 10 Girls Black team travelled to the Histon Hornets Tournament this weekend, and what a day it turned out to be.
It’s been a challenging season, with the squad welcoming several girls who were new to football and still building their experience. Despite the challenges, the team has continued to work hard, support one another and never give up.
This weekend, all that hard work paid off. The girls didn’t just win a tournament game – they secured the team’s first ever victories, after a long, hard season. It was a huge milestone for this group, with proud parents erupting into applause from the sidelines and two very emotional coaches watching on. ❤️
The girls finished 3rd in their group, but the day wasn’t over. They stayed to support their clubmates, the Saffron Walden Under 10 Reds, who battled all the way to the final before narrowly finishing runners-up after a tense penalty shootout. It was fantastic to see the Blacks cheering on their teammates right to the very end – a brilliant example of the support and togetherness within the club. 👏
A massive well done to Ella, Linda, Annie, Bella, Martha and Chloe. Every one of you has shown resilience, determination and incredible teamwork throughout the season. This weekend proved that hard work really does pay off, and these first-ever victories were thoroughly deserved.

Norwich Cup - Haverhill Tournament 🏆⚽️
U9 Girls Black
Team black took part in a very warm Norwich Cup this Saturday at Haverhill. With temperatures over 30 degrees, the girls worked incredibly hard in the sun with only one substitute, putting in incredible performances and an admirable work rate against some of the strongest u9 girls teams around!
Unfortunately the girls lost their semi final 1-0 but should be very proud of themselves for such a great effort in baking temperatures! The development within the team is clear to see.

Cambourne Tournament
U9 Girls Black
Team Black had a fantastic day of football in Cambourne this Saturday morning! In muggy conditions, they played a total of 9 games of 7 a side football against some excellent opponents!
As ever, the girls excelled in all areas, defending and attacking as a team to score some fantastic goals, and only concede 4 goals across all 9 games!
Sadly, the girls lost out in the final on penalties, but should hold their heads high as runners up, in their first ever tournament final.
